IAFA, Instituto de Alcoholismo y Fármaco-Dependencia (Alcoholism and Drug Dependency Institute)

 

This organization gives support to people with addictions to several different substances such as alcohol, tobacco, and marijuana. They give workshops and group or individual psychological counselling. On their website they offer other services such as libraries, and an information phone line: 800-423-2800.

PAIA, Programa de Atención Integral al Adolescente (Program for Integral Attention to Adolescents)

 

They offer an electronic magazine with information about youth themes, sexuality, jobs, sexual and reproductive health, addictions, etc.

AMES, Asociación de Mujeres en Salud (Womens Health Association)

 

This is a non-profit organization that offers low cost professional health services to women. For example: lab tests, gynocology services, and sexual and reproductive health workshops. They also offer dance, yoga, Reyki and apiterapia classes.

CEFEMINA - Centro Feminista de Información y Acción.

Taller Nacional de Danza

 

Offers dance lessons at a low cost for women and men of all ages. Each group gives a graduation presentation in the Melico Salazar Theater at the end of the year.
